I propose the following data to be a new case: | Fields | Data | | --- | --- | | Name | User information cannot be collected en masse | | Description | User information on the site cannot be collected by automated means without the consent of the user | | Classification | good | | Topic | [Terms of Service; Didn't Read - Phoenix](https://edit.tosdr.org/topics/41) | | Weight | 25 | **Examples:** A great example from CodeSandbox [Terms of Service; Didn't Read - Phoenix](https://edit.tosdr.org/points/24641) I’m open to other suggestions for which topic this best fits It’s great to see services taking a stance against mass and automated data collection, so I wanted to set this to ‘good’ ---

Looks good to me! Regarding the topic to choose, I’d rather put it in Content, because cases referring to prohibited data collection and publication are mostly there: [https://edit.tosdr.org/cases/444](https://edit.tosdr.org/cases/444) and [Terms of Service; Didn't Read - Phoenix](https://edit.tosdr.org/cases/317). ---

I’d change the wording to something like “The service prohibits automated collection of user information” because the original one makes me thing that they actively prevent collection by some technical or other means, which is not the case. ---

I disagree with the current proposal, particularly with the naming and the Topic. My proposal: | Field | Value | | --- | --- | | **Name** | _You are prohibited from collecting other users’ personal information through automated means_ | | **Rating** | :good: | | **Weight** | 30 | | **Topic** | [_Governance_](https://edit.tosdr.org/topics/31) | | **Description** | _User information on the site is not allowed to be collected by automated means without consent, and may get offenders suspended for doing so._ | | **DDG Checkbox** | | * * * ## Reasoning The _“Governance”_ Topic fits this way more than _“Content”_. Also, getting rid of _“The/This service…”_ in the titles if possible.
