## Introduction

Reviewing Points regarding feedback attribution can be a bit tricky, and even I commit this mistake from time to time. This guide attempts to clarify the legalese that you may encounter when reading such clauses.

## When do they take credit from User Feedback?

This is a tricky since _legalese_ usually tends to become heavy around sections about content licensing.

Here are some sources that make reference of this. I tried curating them as much as I could:

- [Residuals Clauses vs. Feedback Licenses – Getting the Balance Right in IP Agreements](https://www.morganlewis.com/blogs/sourcingatmorganlewis/2025/08/residuals-clauses-vs-feedback-licenses-getting-the-balance-right-in-ip-agreements)

Given the sources above, if any of the following phrases appear in the “Feedback” section, then the Service takes credit for User Feedback:

> _“[…]without [any] obligation to you”_

When referring to _“obligation”_, this can include either moral, intellectual property, or ownership rights with regards to the submitted feedback.

## Observations

Before anything, _ **PLEASE DO YOUR INDEPENDENT RESEARCH!** _ It was not easy to look a source, as legal language was not human-readable.

If you have feedback, let me know down below.
