I tried running phoenix locally (on kubuntu) with the quickstart guide but it doesn’t work, so I tried with Manual environment setup and that didnt work either so please letme know what I’m doing wrong.
The quickstart guide is deprecated. Follow the README.
Okay, how do I run it without docker though (I should’ve specified that)
Unfortunately there is no documented way at the moment. We use Docker Compose to build the instance.
That old guide is a leftover from the initial releases of Phoenix, when Docker was not being used.
You CAN try to run it by trial and error but it’s best just to use Docker.
Unfotunately I can’t use Docker on my PC (I don’t remember why, maybe I’ll check again)
EDIT: This is wrong I can’t use Docker Desktop but I can use Docker engine and Docker compose
I got it running with docker! But I can’t log in with any of the three users
